We offer an imaginative range of playcentres, each designed to provide a comprehensive set of activities at a sensible price. Each model is complete right down to swing seats and without the need to spend further money on add-ons. We also offer an intelligent range of complementary extensions which allow alternative play activities, these may be added either at the time of the initial build or later as required.
Designed to blend into your garden, selected top grade pine (from managed European forests) are used with as few man-made materials as possible. The seasoned timber is machined square, planed smooth with rounded edges and finished to within 1mm tolerances. All fixing holes and not recesses are drilled before the timber is pressure-tested, using a non-toxic arsenic-free solution approved for children's playground equipment.

Safety is at the heart of the playcentre design specification, with substantial timber sections used for the frames (170mm x 70mm) and swing-arm (90mm x 110mm) and strong railings around the platforms. Every model provides the minimum of heavy-duty green wavy slide, substantial climbing frame and play platform, two swings with wooden seats, wooden roof and (apart from the Gate Lodge) a commando net. Included are all necessary fittings (galvanized or stainless steel), galvanised swing hangers with low-noise nylon bearings, fasteners, detailed assembly instructions and even a drill-bit for preparing screw holes. These products meet or exceed the British & European Safety Standard for Toys (EN71) and are designed to meet German TUV standards. The pressure treatment used is cadmium/chromium/arsenic free and approved for domestic and playground use.

Arundel PlayCentre: Our entry-level PlayCentre offers all the features needed for a wide range of play activities. Attached to the strong wooden tower is a tall swing-arm with two wooden swings, heavy-duty 3m slide and full-sized commando net. Built into the base of the tower is a sandpit with two wooden seats. We use pressure-treated planed rectangular timber to minimise splits and cracks. Arundel Twin PlayCentre: One of our best-sellers, the Twin Arundel is built around two 3ft square wooden platforms, connected by a 1.6m long clatterbridge. Access to the towers can be by the wide wooden staircase, up the wooden rungs or using the 8 rung by 4 strand commando net. Extra play value can be provided with the addition of either the Assault Course on the end of the swing-arm, or the attachment of our Monkey Bars accessory. Depending on your garden layout, the swing arm, commando net and 3m wavy green slide may be positioned off the two towers in a variety of ways. Arundel PlayCentre without swingarm: Where space is at a premium, the Arundel without swingarm still allows a range of play activities with its heavy-duty 3m slide, full-sized commando net and built-in sandpit. Arundel PlayCentre tower only: Where only a wooden tower is required, or as an addition to another PlayCentre. Where space is at a premium, the Arundel without swingarm still allows a range of play activities with its heavy-duty 3m slide. For stability purposes this tower MUST BE CONCRETED INTO THE GROUND. As with our other PlayCentres, we use pressure-treated planed rectangular timber to minimise splits and cracks. All bolts are galvanised and recessed for safety and appearance. Gate Lodge: The largest of our PlayCentres, the Gate Lodge was designed to be a combined activity centre for younger children as well as a Wendy House + Fort + sleeping den when they are older. The upper cabin is large enough for three teenagers to sleep in comfortably (although wood fires are not recommended!). Beneath the cabin is a play area 1.8m x 1.8m fitted with a table and two bench seats. There is enough room around the table to create a play area, even spread out some sand for small kids. The upper cabin is accessed by a ladder with 5 x 40mm hardwood rungs. The walls of the cabin are made from machined tongue and groove timbers, which are fitted into grooves machined into the uprights. This method of construction allows natural movement of the timber without having to use nails or screw, resulting in no splitting of the wood. Monkey Bars: In designing our Monkey Bars, we have followed the traditional design of sturdy horizontal beams (9cm x 9cm square) fitted with substantial hardwood rungs 4cm in diameter. We have also incorporated a platform with a 2.5m wave slide to give younger children their own play area, and to top it off a generous commando net to accommodate all age groups and develop climbing skills. Stability is provided by a broad lateral frame at one end and the commando net frame on the other. We use pressure-treated planed rectangular timber to minimise splits and cracks. Monkey Bars without slide: In designing our Monkey Bars, we have used stainless steel plates to give durability and strength to the main frame construction. The sturdy horizontal beams are 9cm x 9cm square and fitted with substantial hardwood rungs 4cm in diameter. This quality unit is all about climbing and the development of physical skills, with a generous commando net and climbing tower fitted with rungs all four sides. Monmouth Twin Play Centre: The Monmouth offers all the features needed for a wide range of play activities. It is designed to provide a similar range of facilities as the Arundel Twin Towers, but with larger platforms and longer swing-arm for a climbing rope or tyre swing. The two wooden towers connect by a suspended clatterbridge. The towers are accessed by a sturdy wooden staircase, making them easy to use by smaller children. The tall swing-arm provides two wooden swings and a climbing rope, and off the towers are fitted a heavy-duty 3m slide and full-sized commando net. Sandpit: We have designed our sandpit for easy access whilst maintaining the interior free from leaves and animal visits. The wooden protective cover folds out to provide two sturdy wooden bench seats. Only 21cm high to the top, the 1.2m x 1.2m square sandpit will need about 0.15 cubic meters (8 bags) of sand to fill it to a depth of 10cm. See-Saw:  See-Saws have always been fun, and ours have been designed to offer years of sensible use. The main beam is 3m (118”) long and 9cm x 9cm (3.6”) square, pivoting on a single ash bearing 38 mm in diameter. Hidden within the support base is a steel bolt running from one side to the other, providing for a strong pivot support structure. The two shaped seats are made from a waterproof material similar to bakelite, whilst the two handles (38mm ash) are large enough to give a feeling of security and comfort when holding on. York Play Centre: A large strong tower unit with four platforms spiralling around the central upright. Leading off the second platform is a wooden climbing ramp with rope, with the fourth platform leading to the green 3m wavy slide. For further enjoyment is a rope commando net and swing arm with two swings included. As with all our PlayCentres, we use pressure-treated planed rectangular timber to minimise splits and cracks. Big Bouncer Rectangular Trampoline: Our rectangular trampolines are manufactured in Australia, using only the finest quality 2” (50mm) hot-dip galvanised tube. The design is unique in the UK, with bolt-on legs and frame braces. The V-shape created at each end is stronger and more rigid than the conventional welded stub as used on other trampolines. It allows the trampoline to absorb impact more efficiently and provide a higher weight capacity, which is why Action Trampolines have the highest load to frame size ratio you can find. High-quality 7” fully-galvanised steel springs provide a tight bounce and excellent performance characteristics. Again as market leaders in design, our unique frame pads are one-piece and lock across the four corners of the frame. Most trampoline pads are weak on the corners, ours can be walked on safely. The frame design provides the added value of being able to unbolt the legs and braces, allowing the frame to be stored away vertically and complete with bed and springs. To give a longer life to the bed, the springs are attached to removable anchor bars rather than sewn-on rings. Big Bouncer Rectangular Trampoline: FUN RINGS or enclosures are available for all the SkyWalker range of round trampolines. Again, only top quality steel tube is used to make the 12 heavy 40mm diameter hot-dipped galvanised support poles. For maximum protection we cover them with 55 mm diameter foam sleeves. The strong mesh netting is attached at the top, middle and bottom of the poles by adjustable elasticated straps, and rests on the pads. Access is through a doorway closed by simple plastic buckles.
